In rainy Cary, N.C., for the first ACC tournament semifinal of the night- the No. 2 seed Terps vs. the No. 3 seed Boston College Eagles. It’s raining off and on and should remain that way throughout, but the field is in fine shape. Apparently, they have a state-of-the-art draining system here at the main field of WakeMed Soccer Park.
As for the Matt Kassel watch: Kassel is out for today’s game. He’s wearing a walking boot on his right foot on the sidelines as his teammates warm up. Michael Marchiano will take his place, as he did in Wednesday’s game. Here are the rest of the starters.
Boston College’s best player is midfielder Alejandro Bedoya, but watch out for forward Mor Avi Hanan. Hanan is in the starting lineup today after coming off the bench in the Eagles quarterfinal win and scoring the golden goal in double overtime on a fantastic free kick.
Terps starting 11: Goalkeeper Zac MacMath; defenders Omar Gonzalez, Rich Costanzo, A.J. Delagarza and Rodney Wallace; midfielders Doug Rodkey, Graham Zusi, Marchiano and Jeremy Hall; forwards Jason Herrick and Casey Townsend
Boston College starting 11: Goalkeeper Chris Brown; defenders Paul Gerstenberger, Idan Shefler, Stephen Hepburn, Greg O’Neil and Jamie Melas, midfielders Bedoya, Conor Fitzpatrick, Karl Reddick, and Mike Konicoff; forward Mor Avi Hanan up top all by himself- BC plays to their strength, which is definitely defense

I think that Bedoya will up top and Hanan will be behind in the AM role.
