CHAPEL HILL, N.C. — Player introductions are just starting and the Dean Dome seems to have packed itself rather quickly. It’s loud and the student section is breathing down my neck right now. Press row is, quite literally, trembling, as House of Pain’s “Jump Around” plays and the Carolina-blue clad fans follow orders.
The Terps, they don’t seem phased in the least. While warming up, they appeared loose and even joked around a bit.
They also look quite sharp in fresh black uniforms. I’ve never seen any Terp men’s basketball team in black unis, but these are sharp to say the least.
Perhaps Gary Williams considered his team’s uniform choice against B.C. and decided to raise high both the black and gold.
