The Terrapin men’s lacrosse team pulled off a 7-3 win in South Bend, Ind. today in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.
Saturday, the Terps will face the winner of No. 2 seed Syracuse and MAAC champion Siena, which kicks off at 7:30 p.m. tonight. That game is in Hempstead, N.Y. at Hofstra University at either noon or 2 p.m.
Strong defense and diverse scoring options paced the Terps, though it helped that the Irish only put 35 percent of their shots on net (12-for-34).
More on the game after I put together a story for Monday’s Diamondback.
