The Terrapin volleyball team struggled on defense for the second straight day as they lost to Wake Forest 3-1 (25-19, 19-25, 22-25, 12-25).
The Terps (9-7, 1-2 ACC) came out hot, recording 17 kills and hitting .244 en route to a 25-19 set victory. But, afterwards, the team faltered and failed to stop the Demon Deacons attack.
Wake Forest recorded 63 kills, including 18 in the final set where they hit .773. The Terps had no answer for their front line, and could not seem to find any sort of rhythm on the defensive side of the ball.
To go along with the team’s defensive woes, it once again killed itself by recording 32 total errors. The errors seemed to come at the worst times, often ending runs of points or starting them for Wake.
