The second half of the ACC Tournament semifinal match between the top-seeded Terps and fourth-seeded Wake Forest had been a scoreless affair, the Terps holding onto the 2-0 lead they built in the first half, until a minute and a half ago.
With 18:35 left in the half, Ameliet Rischen scored to put the undefeated Terps up 3-0 on the Demon Deacons. But the goal woke up Wake Forest, and they immediately drove into Terp territory and got a shot directly in front of the goal, which got past goalie Alicia Grater to cut the Terps’ lead back to two.
