RALEIGH, N.C.–The Terps kept it close even with an extreme lack of offensive production.

Russell Wilson led an efficient drive to start the half, taking the Wolfpack 80 yards in nine plays in 4:41 to give them a 31-21 lead. He scored on a 3-yard run with 10:19 left in the quarter.

Torrey Smith returned the ensuing kickoff 82 yards for a touchdown to make it 31-28 with 10:09 left in the third.

The return touchdown was Smith’s second of the season and the third of his career. He is now the Terps’ all-time leader in return touchdowns.

Jamarr Robinson continued to play quarterback in place of the injured Chris Turner. He overthrew Torrey Smith going deep on his first career pass attempt, then threw behind Ronnie Tyler over the middle on his second career attempt.

Robinson then overthrew an open LaQuan Williams streaking toward the endzone on the first play after Kenny Tate intercepted a Wilson pass and returned it to the Wolfpack’s 35.

Nick Ferrara missed a 47-yard field goal attempt three plays later to keep the score at 31-28.
