RALEIGH, N.C.–The Terrapin football team won’t be playing in a bowl game this season.
The Terps’ seven-point loss to the Wolfpack drops them to 2-7 on the season, making it mathematically impossible for them to earn the six wins needed to qualify for a bowl.
Wolfpack running back Jamelle Eugene scored on a two-yard run on the fifth play of the quarter to make it 38-28 with 13:39 to play.
The Wolfpack’s drive was kept alive about Terp linebacker Alex Wujciak got called for pass interference in the endzone after an incomplete pass on third-and-goal.
Davin Meggett had a 23-yard touchdown run called back on the Terps’ next drive because of a holding penalty on left guard Paul Pinegar.
Nick Ferrara kicked a 31-yard field goal four plays later to make it 38-31 NC State with 4:56 to play, but that was as close as the Terps would get.
Backup quarterback Jamarr Robinson led the Terps on an exciting last drive to try to tie the game, but he was hit as he threw a hail mary on the final play of the game from the 42-yardline and that was it.

We stink. The year is over. As much as I like C. Turner we have to give Robinson every single snap for the rest of the year. To do anything else is ridiculous.
