No Dino Gregory News

If you were hoping for an update on the eligibility status of Terrapin men’s basketball forward Dino Gregory before the day of the team’s season-opener, you’re going to be disappointed.

In his final media address before the Terps take on Charleston Southern tomorrow, coach Gary Williams had nothing to report on the projected starter who was suspended for the team’s exhibition last week due to an unspecified violation of team rules.

“I have no update on Dino Gregory,” Williams said this afternoon.

Shortly before last Tuesday’s exhibition win, a team spokesman distributed a release saying the team could not comment further on the suspension because of “federal regulations which protect the privacy of student records.”

Since then, there has been little or no news about Gregory out of Terp camp.

Freshmen James Padgett, who started the exhibition, or Jordan Williams would likely start in the forward spot opposite Landon Milbourne that Gregory likely would’ve occupied if Gregory will miss further time.

Stay tuned tomorrow for more details as they become available.
