Loyola (Md.) pre-game

November 19th, 2009 06:53 pm by Jonas Shaffer

We’re all set to kick off the first round of the NCAA Tournament here at Ludwig Field, but you wouldn’t know it from the atmosphere out there right now.

The bleachers are almost empty, the club seats have all of a couple dozen spectators, and The Crew is rolling only about 100-deep at the moment.

The dreary weather and the $5 ticket surcharge probably scared off some of the Terps’ more fair-weather fans, but this is, after all, college soccer’s big dance, yet it looks like a preseason exhibition out there.

Now on to the game actually being played between the lines:

——————–MacMath——————-
—-Darko—-White—-Tangney—-Kemp—-
———————Kassel———————
—Yates——–Saint Cyr———-Forbess—
———–Townsend—–Herrick————-

For whatever reason, midfielder Billy Cortes is M.I.A. from the group of starters.

More later.
