Hello everyone.
It’s about an hour before kickoff of the Terrapin football team’s game against Boston College and about 4.5 hours before the merciful end of an absolutely horrible season.
The Terps are hoping to avoid their first double-digit loss season in school history, and if you believe the speculation, they could be playing for coach Ralph Friedgen for the last time.
The buzz on campus is nonexistent.
There’s hardly anybody in College Park, relatively speaking, with students apparently mostly still at home for Thanksgiving break. The tailgating scene in the usual parking lots are much smaller than what we’ve become accustomed to seeing on our way to the stadium.
Inside Byrd, the Terps are wearing their black jerseys with red pants, the same outlandish combination they wore during their most recent win Oct. 3 against Clemson.
Both Chris Turner and Jamarr Robinson are dressed and warming up, but no word yet on which quarterback will get the start.
The official pregame depth chart lists Chris Turner OR Jamarr Robinson at QB, so apparently it’s going to be a gametime decision.
No sign of safety Kenny Tate yet, who was listed as doubtful on Thursday’s injury report. Everybody else on that list is definitely out.
We’ll be back with more personnel information, probably on the quarterback situation, when it becomes available.
