Terrapin men’s basketball coach Mark Turgeon announced at his press conference this afternoon that assistant coach Dalonte Hill was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence and will not be on the bench for the next two games.

Hill is a first year assistant coach who previously coached at Kansas State. This is his second DUI — he was arrested in 2008 while at K-State.

According to the release, the athletics department is working to gather the facts and will handle the matter internally once the inquiry is completed.

A Maryland case search did not bring up a case regarding Hill. Turgeon, and the rest of the athletics department, declined to comment further.
